TSA scans but does not bother to search our packs. The person scanning can see empty bottles and may ask what they are for. Our tickets are one way, frequently same day purchase. </div><div><br></div><div>We have to figure out how we want to ship fuel before each trip. We do not carry fuel on commercial flights. It has been some time since I have taken a backpack on a plane. If I pack it tight it could be a carry on. What about trekking poles- are they allowed as carryon or will I have to check my pack?<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Pack is 24"- 26" long.
