<P>You will know by the time you reach Mimbres or Silver City, whether to take
the Gila or Black range (if northbound).<BR>Its good to think about this stuff
now but just like the 'fear' induced on the PCT about the snowpack each year..
you get over it.<BR>It is effortless to simply take a different route when the
time comes.<BR>Isn't this the essence of being flexible on your hike?<BR>You can
always find another way and in my experience the worry over such things is
greater than the actual danger they represent.</P>
