I bet that you are correct, they didn't know what they were
looking for. The walmart website says that it is in stock at
Grants:

I'm pretty sure that this canister is a little larger than the
Jetboil one and won't fit inside the Jetboil.<br>

Yeah--one 8 oz canister lasts me about 30 days, but I need a
little more. Probably not hiking as fast as you. I did call the
Walmart in Grants and they said they didn't carry isobutane--maybe
they don't know what to look for--that is usually the case in
stores that don't specialize in hiking gear and sporting goods.

I use a jetboil and one canister lasted all the way to Chama and

some. One boil a day. Walmart in Grants does carry them though
