Remember 2004, when we got 5 inches of rain in two days at the end of August
in Southern Washington. Spirit (Trail Angel) pulled quite a few drowned rats
out of the woods to ferry them to Trout Lake. They were soaked to the bone,
including sleeping bags. Odds are good for pleasant weather in August and
even early September, but in the Northwest you can go from happy to
hypothermic pretty quickly if you are not ready for the rain.
Steady, Sr.
