The lubricant we supply is for the BV110B and BV200 models; that lid is about 1/2" tall and it is made of a polycarbonate blend that can occasionally get a bit sticky if not lubed. The newer models BV250 and higher use a nylon blend for the lid that is naturally slick and so they don't need any lube. It's always a good idea to keep the threads clean. Jamie
