Jim,

When I wrote my post I attempted to keep it short, to the point and
definitively not personal. To that extent, I chose not include either your
name or quote your words in the post. Knowing you as I have over a number of
years, I did have that queasy feeling as I penned those words that you would
indeed take it personal and, as you've done to various posters to whom
you've disagreed with in the past; attempt to lay me out with everything in
your verbal arsenal.

Jim, I do like you and Ginny and I hope you realize that. I also know this
thread will soon die and lay rotting to dust on some distant forgotten
battle field. Life goes on. Someday in the, hopefully, not too distant
future we'll be sitting around a campfire swapping old hiking war stories.

That said I do stand behind my comments. I tried to respond to the core of
your original post as I interpreted it. You may choose to disagree with my
interpretation or analysis. That's your prerogative. You can't say it was
composted without thought or in anger.

I'll admit I've not fully read your response. After reading three paragraphs
late last night with bleary eyes, I'd read enough. You see, I'm not really
in to masochism. So I felt little need to finish the rest.

Bottom line, I guess, is you no longer like the Triple Crown Award. And to
be frank I still don't fully comprehend your reasoning. Well maybe I'm too
slow or stupid to comprehend, but at the moment I simply don't care. In the
grand scheme of things like the war in Iraq or global warming, it simply
doesn't matter.

Here's a bit of history on the Triple Crown Award for those who've not
already deleted this post. As president of ALDHA-West for a couple of years,
I had quite a few discussions concerning the award with the Award
Coordinator and the ALDHA-West board.

We had a couple of issues concerning the award that needed to be resolved.
While I won't go into detail of all that was involved, there was one
resolution that maybe of interest to Jim given his current disregard for the
award.

We were asked by one individual who'd received the award to have their name
deleted from the website. It was decided by the board not to honor the
request. The reason being is that the website represents an historical
representation of ALDHA-West actions. While we may eventually no longer like
our own history, we can't merely rewrite it to satisfy our current whim.

So Jim, unless the ALDHA-West board decides to change its policy, I'm afraid
you and Ginny are stuck on your "Wall of Shame".
