OK, somebody has to ask -- How much do they weigh? How many calories?

Subject: [pct-l] New precooked backpacking meals

Has anyone seen or tried these new precooked meals in pouches..... I just
had a RONI Express savory rice pilaf in which i added a package of
precooked lightly smoked scallops by a company called Majestic! I added
one pouch of soy sauce to it at the end and Viola' was it ever good....
I have been eating these pouches of seafood for over a year now but its
always been sardines in them but lately i see new ones with scallops and
also imt. crab meat in them... they have also had fruit servings in these
same pouches.... The best news is i get them at the 99cent store and
sometimes they are 2 for 99..... I also picked up 4 pouches of tomato sauce
for 99 cents this week... beats carring a small can ot tomato paste for the
pasta dishes.....
Seems odd that so much of the food i have been eating in the canyon lately
comes from the 99 cent stores....choc covered cashews...cashews in garlic
salt....various gorp mixes and all kind of cookie or cracker boxes...10
packs of 6 each..... there other main dishes ready for the microwave that
you can transfer them into plastic bags and just heat and serve them ...
and those who are into candy bars you can get lots of them at a good
price.....even the same type of little debbie pastries are all in the store
i shop at.....
Cann't beat the prices and as they are ready to eat great for quick meals
on trail.....
