I used the Atmos 35 for the first 550 miles of the AT until my knees started
bothing me and I went ultralight. It was wonderful, but a bit heavier than
the comperable (in size) granite gear vapor trail. The Atmos, however, has
more doo-dads that can be trimmed off (excessive loops,a hydration bladder,
etc).
If I had to carry a heavier load I would definatley use the Atmos before any
other pack--I really appreciated the airflow it provided between my back and
the pack, the hipbelt was comfortable but not overdone, and the pockets in
the hipbelt were useful.
