[pct-l] PCT pack selection?

You will find an increasing number of good lightweight packs out there that 
compete with the GoLite Gust.

With that said, my response is very subjective because the Gust is the only 
large pack I use.

Following is based on a lightweight strategy.
Pros:
   the large is about 19 oz, trimmed down
   absolutely bomb-proof
   very simple, no frills, bag design
   carry 10 days of food (without bear canister)
   easy to wash and clean during town stops

Cons:
   Only 1 exterior pocket. (stop and open your pack for water bottle)
   very uncomfortable at 40+ lbs (food weight :)
   waist belt is useless for weight bearing, if you use one
