Switchback's expedition to Whitney reminds me of my friend Bob Rockwell's
epic first climb of Whitney (of well over a hundred), over fifty years
ago, to watch the dawn, but which actually had him seeing one of the
hallmark events of the 20th century.  Perhaps Switchback will have a
similar experience!
