i disagree. i wore the vasque breeze light boot for the whole pct (went 
thru 3 pair) and i got one small blister the entire trip. of course, 
everyone needs to experiment to find out what works best for them. in my 
experience, i found the pct to be generally far more rocky than is 
usually acknowledged, and i never once regretted hiking in boots.
