Not so, the pet designation was wrong, but the packstock designation, which 
would have been accurate, would have gotten the same rresponse.

The Sierras are lagging behind the rest of the land managers in other areas 
as regards their attitudes toward goats. The forest supervisor in the PCT 
area where the goat got sent back apparently doesn't like them and spreads 
misinformation amongst his troops.

We have a huge education program going right now and with any luck will get 
through to the less enlightened officials around the country.

In the meantime, any kind words you can say to any of these folks about 
goats would be appreciated.
