You don't need a canister on the CDT. GlacierNP and Yellowstone NP require 
hanging food at designated campsites. The bears are definitely not 
habituatated . We slept with our food the rest of the trail. Watch out for 
mice, though.

hi jim-

would it be possible to put my bear can in circulation in this program
until such time as i need to retrieve it again for my own use? i'm
thinking i probably won't need it again until i hike the cdt, which
probably won't be til 09 at the earliest.
