I think you made a great adaptation, and as Jeff said,
both are famous. I met  you at Rodriguez Spur, didn't
I? And I met Mad Monte at Warner Springs. In fact MM
and I shared a table with six or so other hikers at
dinner and had one of the best outdoors-related table
talks in my experience.
