Addendum:

Another responder correctly points out that there is a horse packers' campsite as well, and some PCT hikers have stayed there because it is right beside the PCT heading out of the park. It is in the far south end of the park. It is a 15 minute walk from the entry and store however. I don't remember if it has its own showers, but it does have a corral, water, and lots of flat tenting space.

Imagine a clock with the entrance to the park at 6. The store, telephones, showers, general campgrounds, and backpackers' campsite are to your right at 3; the horse camp and the continuation of the PCT is to your left, at 9, past Burney Falls themselves.

It can be a hard hitch into Burney and especially back to the park.
