i just dropped roni off at campo today, and on the drive in (along i8), 
i had never seen the snow level down at such a low elevation. it was 
very pretty! but i wouldn't have wanted to be caught in it unprepared. 
fortunately, conditions in the campo/morena area were nice, though 
partly cloudy and chilly. good hiking weather.
