Predicting the Southern Sierra snowpack is more complicated than just loking at the overall data. The UTY sensor just south of Forrester Pass reads 10" of water equivilent. That snow can melt in 10 days or 60 depending on conditions. So far the conditions have been cold and there has been very little melt. Rivers such as the Kings and Kern are expected to peak around 5/13, about 2 weeks early.
