There are three trails that leave from Horseshoe Meadows.  All three 
connect to the PCT.  Cottonwood Pass and New Army Pass trails are on the 
quota system, but Trail Pass is not.  It provides a quick and easy 
access to the PCT just a few miles further south and it is available 
every day.  So if you have quota problems, consider using Trail Pass as 
an entry point.
