We had a guy here recently who got "disoriented" & called  in rescue on his 
cell phone. By the time the search crew had assembled, he had  reoriented 
himself & met them at the trail head. Panic is a funny thing  &  really is a 
healthy part of the wilderness experience, properly  managed.
