Aye! And what is worn under the kilt? Why nothing is worn under the
kilt. Everything is in fine working order!

Now, I have just happen to have a sport kilt meself, (Ancient Wallace)
but haven't hiked in it. Five yards of wool is too hot and heavy for
comfortable hiking IMHO. Also co$t way too much to be used for hiking
attire! I find it very hot, even when worn traditionally. I might
consider a Great Kilt that also serves as shirt and sleeping bag, but
its probably even hotter. I prefer cargo pants personally as I usually
wear long pants due to biting insects and plants and such. If
conditions permit, the legs can be rolled up and buttoned. They're
lighter than zip offs and don't have that annoying knee blistering
zipper. Have you looked at a Utili-kilt? That might be a viable
alternative. Lots cheaper and thinner. Unless of course, its winter
time above the 49th parallel. McChris

It's not the Mountain that we conquer,
but Ourselves. Anon.
