I think this is good advise. I kept my entire gear to 1LB.

"My question is, I know nothing about fly fishing, we just don't do much
of it in Oklahoma. What type of line should I use, how much line, and
what type of lures should I bring."

This is an extraordinarily bad idea.

Fly fishing is an art, that most people find takes significant amounts of
time to be able to do without huge frustration, from learning casting,
learning how to read the water, learning the correct equipment for the
situations to be encountered. I can't imagine someone who didn't know how
to use the gear, and having no guide, figuring it out on the trail. It's
not like you have hours a day to figure it out.

So, I'd say, forget fly fishing. Consider a spinning setup, using a half
dozen lures such as Mepps, Kastmaster, Super Duper, etc. Very easy to
learn, simple gear, cheap (good fly fishing gear is NOT), can buy
anywhere.
Start practicing casting, and save losing all the lures the first day.

g'luck!
