Craig, of PCTplanner, has refreshed the link to his scanned copy of the 
early 1945 Pacific Crest Trailways guidebook written by Clinton Clarke.  If 
you love the PCT in all it's forms and routes imagined since it's birth, 
take the time to download this book.  It's a great historical perspective 
and view of the trail,  and where the trail and hiker have evolved to the 
present.

There were only 500 copies printed in 1945; I have one, and these original 
guidebooks are trail library treasures. With thanks to Craig, you can print 
and read it for free.
