[pct-l] Hiking without a stove

Stopping mid/late afternoon to cook is always one of my biggest joys during
a long distance hike.

You stop, sit down, spread your gear out around you.....just make it a big
event. It's very relaxing when all you do is walk all day. Nothing beats a
hot meal after gagging down an endless chain of power items. You will
especially appreciate a cooked meal a couple months into your hike.

Of course, if you're in a hurry, skipping a cooked meal will add an hour to
your hiking time daily.
