[pct-l] Humbling - Nothing Works

Greetings,
I could be wrong, unlikely as that is, but there is
nothing I know of which can keep one dry while hiking
in a heavy rain.
Rain or sweat.
You're gonna get wet.
With improvements in Gore-Tex and other shell fabrics,
the threshold of wetness is a bit higher than it was
ten years ago, but there is still nothing which works
as well as we want. It will take some clear thinking,
like that of a Henry Shires or Brian Frankel, to come
up with the next quantum step in dryness. But given
the level of solution-oriented thinking of former PCT
hikers, it could happen.
Best,
J J
