Vasque has a new model, the mercury, with an aggressive tread and attached 
tongue to keep dust and gravel out. It's a low cut, roomy shoe for swelling 
feet on the desert. At $95 they're cheaper than my Montrail Hurricane xc 
that I used for my last thru.
