Monty,

There is a trail angel that lives in Tehachapi that offers rides back to the trailhead. His name is Tom and his name and phone # where posted in the Post Office. I suppose if you had the name/phone # you could contact him upon arrival at Highway 58 to see if he could pick you up as well. Very nice gentleman.

I stayed at the Best Western in Tehachapi and it was reasonable. It had free internet access and they also accepted my re-supply box. It was very convenient for me and it is within walking distance of a large Albertsons, Kmart and a hardware store. There is also another cheaper motel option a couple of blocks east of the Best Western that was definitely cheaper but did not have the same conveniences.

I found Tehachapi to be very nice, although I only came in around 2:00 p.m. and was out by noon the next day. Really didn't find any reason to take a full zero at this point of the trail.
