[pct-l] International Trails

In Europe there are a set of trails called GR (grande randonee ???).  There's the GR20 across Corsica (short compared to the PCT), as well as trails across France, Europe north-to-south, through the Pyrenees.  There's the West Highland Way in Scottland, but of course it's much shorter than the PCT.  The Camino de Santiago is a popular pilgramage trek in Spain that has several variations.  It may include a lot of road walking.  There's an extensive trail system in New Zealand.  The Bibbulman trek in western Australia is 1000 kilometers, still shorter than the PCT by a long shot, but perhaps without all the resupply opportunities (see www.yetizone.com).    I've heard of people trekking the entire distance of the (a?) great wall in China, but I don't think it's maintained for trekking in particular.  Nepal, India, and Tibet all have popular trekking routes.  The concept of trekking is a little different in some of these countries than in the USA, but trekking certainly isn't unique here.
