Sue,

I would definitely agree with you about WrightSox.  I had only one very minor blister during my entire thru-hike last year.  I used WrightSox the whole way.  I had three pair that I would tradeoff during the day.  I would wash them out when water was available and they would rarely take more than an hour to dry.  My only issue is that durability was a minor issue.  I typically replaced the WrightSox about every 800 miles.

I realize that there are other choices and I am not completely sold on the notion that these sox were the reason for my lack of blisters.  I still believe that it was partly due to the fact that I put in more than 400 training miles in advance of my hike and my feet were accustomed to walking 20 mile days in the same shoes that I used for the entire trail (Brooks).

By the way, I typically was ahead of Junaid on the trail, so that I was able to wash my sox in the water sources before he washed the hands/fingers he used to wipe his back side!
