I am wondering if anyone has been in the Marble Mountains yet, or hiked from 
Seiad to the CA/OR border and could tell me about trail conditions.
Also, are there any trail angels in Seiad or Etna that would help do car 
shuttles from one end or the other?

I hiked into Marble Valley 3wks ago, and there was some snow then. I will 
bet the Marbles are open to snow free PCT trail hiking now, with an 
occaisional snow pocket in sheltered north face or high spot.  I was in the 
Trinity Alps last weekend, and there were only a few pesky snow pockets on 
that trip. From SV to the Ashland, there shouldn't be any snow. Water is 
good now, and will be less as the season goes on. The trees haven't been 
cleared, since the trail crews are just now hired back on, but from what 
I've seen, there's not that many down on the trail this year. The PCT books 
should be pretty accurate for water this year, as we had 50% of our regular 
snow this winter in the Sec O to R sections. Go to my last pages for my
