[pct-l] best 100 miles?

Echo Lake to Donner Pass (Section K) is the best honeymoon pct hike by far.
Great scenery, not too difficult. Fly to Reno, take Casino bus to South Lake
Tahoe for a day or two beforehand. A great town to hang out in. Then take a
cab to Echo Lake. At end of hike contact Pooh Corner
(http://siechert.org/adz/angels.htm#pooh) for ride from trailhead to
Truckee, else use cab. Afterwards, a day in Truckee (or Pooh Corner), bus or
cab back to Reno. PCT thru-hiker permit can be obtained in South Lake Tahoe
or by mail beforehand.

Hey Carl,

Its a honeymoon. Less miles, more ......

The reason Tom thinks that's the best 100 miles is because it's only 54
miles. ;-) And only about half of it is on the PCT. (But he's right; it's
spectacular.)

You can't really go wrong anywhere in section H (or I, or J, or K...).

list as I think about a potential thru-hike in 2008. Meanwhile, my brother,
who met his fiance on the AT, is thinking of doing about 100 miles of PCT
for the honeymoon. He wants to know what section would be most recommended
if you were only doing about 100 miles. Any suggestions?

thanks in advance,
Andy
