Why don't you just pick a good sized town and rent a storage unit for 2 months? Depending on how nice the car is...Then you pick any start stop points you want, as long as your near a good sized town.

i.e. Whites Pass (Packwood), Cacade Locks, Ashland, Castela (Redding), Tahoe, Mojave, Big Bear.



Or how about this idea, a car swap with another couple doing a 2 month trip? Ok, maybe that wouldn't work at so earsy...

I posted this question in Feb and have lost the response that came directly to me.  Could you please re-send your answer?We will be doing the southern California section from El Campo to Bakersfield this spring and will be driving out there from Colorado.  Does anyone know where we can leave our car safely for 2 months anywhere between the two terminus'?
