most folks reach kennedy meadows anywhere from 4-6 weeks after leaving 
campo, so a late april or early may start date generally works out well.

you don't often hear of thru-hikers starting any later than about mid 
june, and that's pretty darn late unless you're a really fast hiker and 
can do well in the heat.
