Today hiked up the Acorn trail near Wrightwood and summited Baldy on the "Real Backbone". We were on the PCT for about a mile of this trek. Snow is very patchy and what little snow that exsosts is very soft. So IMO if you are prepared for potential cold nights and potential blizzard one could safely hike through all of the SoCal mountains NOW. You'd arrive way to early to KM and that would give you another set of problems for the Sierras.

Hopefully next week we will be hiking Fuller Ridge - which I assume also is pretty benign with the lack of snow and the recent heat wave.
