[pct-l] Rain Gear Question

I was just talking to a friend about the isotope. She said the jacket has a
reputation of abrading from pack straps on the shoulders and then leaking.
Too bad because I liked the weight too.
YMMV

Subject: [pct-l] Rain Gear Question

Say, does anyone know about the Sierra Designs Isotope rain jacket? In the
large size it weighs 5.2 ounces. That is not bad at all for a breathable
jacket with a hood, full zip front and pockets. Go to
_www.moontrail.com/sierradesigns-isotope.php_
(http://www.moontrail.com/sierradesigns-isotope.php) or
_www.sierradesigns.com/mens.display.php?id=580_
(http://www.sierradesigns.com/mens.display.php?id=580) to check it out.

The large Isotope pants weigh in at 4.8 ounces. So, in large the jacket
and
pants weight a total of 10 ounces. That is not too shabby at all for a
material that seems fairly strong and wear resistant.

I was just wondering about it, since it is so light and breathable.

Thanks, Switchback
