Switchback the Gunga Din of the trail wrote.....there is a trend toward
moving carrying water to the waist area.......we are about 4 years from
this, but it is coming.

Where have you been......we are not 4 years from this.....it has been with
us for many years.
Many hikers, including myself, have been using this method for the longest
time.
