My son is a trail worker for Klamath NF, Scott and Salmon River Ranger Districts... They are starting
trail work this season next week - 'normal' is early May, last year they started late May (note: they
start working 'low' and move 'up' in elevation with the snowmelt, though)...

Postholer (<http://postholer.com/cgi-bin/postHoler?trail=PCT>) shows 41-54% April 1 average at
Mumbo Basin - Middle Boulder Lake... For the next two weeks, no major storms on the horizon and
high temps in the 60s at Etna per AccuWeather.com...

The area I'm most familiar with is the Marbles and Trinity Alps - looks like the PCT should be mostly
clear about mid June (but some snow still on northern slopes and in forest) in those areas - end of
June should be very little, if any, snow on the PCT in the Marbles and Trinity Alps this year, IMHO...

Hopefully Deems will chime in shortly - he lives near Seiad Valley - and he may have been 'out and
about' working in the Happy Camp RD of Klamath NF and know conditions better firsthand...

Hope that helps! Happy trails!!!
Jim
