Yeah, black burnt areas, sometimes with lots of blow downs.  The worst  I saw 
was in the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness.  You could tell the fire got  so hot, 
the rocks exploded. Sometimes it got really depressing but was  beautiful in 
it's own way, especially when wild flowers started to regrow.
 
The worst part is you get filthy!
