Reminds me of what happened around this time of the year in 2004 while I was camping in Yosemite.  A surprise storm hit came accross and dumped several inches of Snow from Lassen down through the Sierras.  It was a very cold day in Tuolumne Meadows that day.  The snow melted away the next day.

I feel for the PCT Southbounders that were out in this.  Some forecasts have snow hitting the higher elevations when this storm moves south into SoCal.  I was debating about going up into the San Gorgonio Wilderness to take advantage of it on Saturday.
