Howdy! I'm Six2, and my wife and I are planning to hike the PCT from Donner Pass southbound to Mt. Whitney next year. One quick question - I've heard about the closures due to fire this year, is this a common thing each year? We were thinking July/August, waiting for most of the snowmelt to pass, but hopefully this doesn't make fires too much of a problem. Six
