If the thruhikers are going the original route of the PCT, you might ask them to be especially vigilant looking for Lucky in the following places north of Red Pass
 
    There are 4 creek crossings : White Chuck , Baekos, Chetwok, Sitcum, and Kennedy (the worse).  With the recent rains these may be more treacherous.
 
A particularily bad spot is immediately below Fire Creek PAss and above Mica lake. When I was there ,there was a very steep and icey snowfield there, which even turned Ray Jardine around.  Any area that has steep icey snow might become a problem in this cooler weather

Parts of the Trail above Milk creek, and coming down off vista Ridge are very steep and in places the tread is eroded and minimal.
