I just got a passport for my daughter. They have a new, cheaper, passport card for
entry into Mexico and Canada. We were amazed when the passport arrived one
week after application. It looks as though they have finally stream lined the process.
You can apply at your local post office by appointment. I suggest you bring your own
passport approved photos though. USPS charges a extra $15 to take your picture.
