Correction: It is the Backbone Trail, not Jawbone, and no pirates allowed so 
some people need disguises.

For a number of years I ran in those mountains every Sunday morning with a 
trailrunners' club, so I know the trails pretty well and would be happy to 
answer questions if anyone has them.
