[pct-l] Bear smarts

A member of my hiking club swore that he woke up in the Sierra on a moonlit
night when he was cowboy camping and saw a bear patting around the tree
trunk with its paws to make sure it hadn't missed any cord tied off to the
counter-balanced food out on a limb.
