If you are convinced you can hike the trail in 3 1/2 months, your departure date should be in mid July. You may hit blow downs and snow at first, but by Snoqualimie, the trail will surely be wide open. You will most likely have warm conditions till South Lake Tahoe where you should add a light layer. Down here in So. Cal, we have already had plenty of water to last through fall, and natural water sources should be flowing. By this point you will be in great shape and be able to do long distances with less water, as well as cooler daytime temptures. good luck, will be looking for you this summer...tj
