If you love the PCT, you'll probably enjoy learning about the CDT! Come find out how it's like to yo-yo the CDT! Whether you're going to section hike or thru-hike the PCT, you might get a tip or two from this presentation. It's free and fun edutainment! Plus, you might bump into some PCT veterans and hiking partners!
 
I encourage you to come to one of my 3 remaining REI presentations in the Bay Area. I already gave 4, but I forgot to announce it on the cdt-l. Here are the last three shows, plus the two in Sacramento:

First Ever Yo-yo Hike of the Continental Divide Trail: Mexico to Canada and Back
After hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2001 and the Pacific Crest Trail in 2006, Francis Tapon set out last April on his most ambitious adventure yet–to become the first person to complete a roundtrip (yo-yo) hike of the Continental Divide Trail. Join Francis for a multimedia presentation of his nearly 6,000-mile, six-month journey, which took him from southern New Mexico north to Montana’s Glacier National Park, and back. As Francis shares tips on gear, trip planning and life lessons learned on the trail, he’ll discuss what it takes to successfully complete a thru-hike of extended length. Following the program, Francis will sign copies of his book, Hike your own Hike: 7 Life Lessons from Backpacking Across America.
 
Why am I not doing any presentations in the East Bay? I have already done 3 there. I'm sorry I didn't announce it earlier to this list.
 
When am I going to present in other parts of the country? I plan to do a nationwide book tour in 2009 when my second book comes out!
