So, we all know about these super secrets as you publicize them frequently on
this list But, when we will see your trip report from the Grand Canyon. We
are all waiting on pins and needles to see how you took advantage of all your
super secrets to conquer the big gash in the desert. You did conquer the
canyon, right? Tell, me this wasn't another aborted expedition by the big pirate
in desert.

Switchback replies: All my gear worked great. A few refinements were needed
because of age, but nothing super big. Unfortunately, the body did not do
too good this year. Last year I went down to Phantom Ranch and back up to the
South Rim. This year it was too early for the knees, but mostly the leg
muscles. I wore knee straps, took my shots 3-times a day and my 10 pills per
day too. I could not continue beyond Indian Springs campground. I am thinking
of doing a rim-to-rim next year after I get some physical stuff corrected.
May be in one day if I feel like it --- I think it is only 43 miles. Do you
want to go???

I am now in training for some hiking on the PCT in April around the Kickoff.
I might do the Warner Springs Loop PCT hike or the Barrel Springs to Warner
Springs. Every year there are reports of saber tooth mountain lions in the
area, but I like the danger.
