Last year on our section hike of I & J, we were camped in Meiss Meadow north
of Carson Pass. We were treated in the wee hours of the night with a
spectacular lunar eclipse of a full moon . . . it was one of the memorable
highlights of our journey. Good thing I had to pee, otherwise, we might
have missed it.

And for your nightime enjoyment, we are due to have two eclipses of the moon

and sun this year. http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/OH/OH2008.html for
the gory details - The best one for you guys looks like the lunar eclipse on

Feb 21st..

Regards, Paul.

(wondering if a new moon has any affect on S.B.)
