I cook dinners with some sort of ground meat, lots of vegetables, seasonings and a bit of oil for the onion saute, then place the dry part on trays lined with the mesh inserts, which make cleaning easier.  

I store the food in plastic bags in the freezer until I want to use it.  The vacuum seal bags are bulkier in my trash so I stopped sealing the food bags.  I can reuse plastic bags.
