[pct-l] Clover Fire North of Kennedy Meadows

Greetings,

My brother and I just hiked from KM to Crabtree and out over Whitney.

The Clover Fire along Crag Creek has devasted about 5 miles of PCT.
Although the trail stays above the creek and is in pretty good shape to hike
on, the area is in bad shape.  THis was a hot fire with the remant sticks of
large trees standing up a few feet like large burnt match sticks.  There is
nothing left, save for some Sage that has come back quickly in a few spots.

Heavy rains last week have filled the creek with several feet of silt, ash,
and debris.  No drinkable water here for some time.  There is plenty of
water before and after.

We enjoyed a great hike overall.
