I am sorry that this part of the world, my home, now has a memory of two pct hikers who intentionally decided to not heed the warning and closure of the pct. It's a lose-lose-lose for the trail, hiker and community. This too shall pass but I do believe there is a lesson to be learned. Hike safe.
